Coming Together as we are Called2Business
It is a great joy for me to witness the launch of Called2Business here in my home city of Hyderabad on August 12, 2011. We are expecting 200 participants.
The purpose of this gathering is four fold.
- We come together to embrace the fact that each of us has been called to business in order to extend the Kingdom of God.
- We celebrate the transforming work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
- We declare that God has dominion over the whole world, including the world of business and commerce.
- We commit to follow the example of Jesus Christ who engaged in the marketplace as a carpenter during his time on earth.
We are hoping to see God work in several key ways:
- To mobilize business/professional leaders to be influential for the kingdom.
- To create a life-changing encounter spiritually, developmentally, professionally.
- To help attendees "own" the Great Commission, understand their role as Kingdom-oriented business leaders.
- To put a focused emphasis on ethics and a strong stand against corruption.
