Bigger and Focused

As I mentioned last week, Lausanne is focusing on Business as Mission this month on their Global Conversation. There are an excellent set of articles to give you greater depth of thinking about this important model of ministry. Last week Jo Plummer of www.businessasmission.com wrote a piece called "Thinking Bigger about Business" where she says, "However, I believe we are missing out when we think about business only in terms of a particular strategy. We need to think bigger about business." In the article Jo challenges us to consider God's design for business larger than any particular strategy or focus.

In my response to her article, I affirm her challenge but focus on a challenge of my own. I see people using the mantra of Business as Mission in the loosest of ways. It is important for us to define our terms clearly and be specific as we expand our understanding of what God might want to do through business. Take a minute to read Jo's post and my response.
