Daniel is one of those amazing stories in the Bible that most of us struggle to even imagine. There he was a Jewish hostage, taken from his home by the oppressors. And by the grace of God he ends up in the palace of multiple kings giving counsel and leadership to the largest empires of his day. 

What an amazing platform! Just imagine if a country conquered your homeland and took you away to serve in the government of their ruler. What thoughts would go through your mind? You might feel abandoned by your country. I'm sure you would feel lonely and out of place. You might also feel angry at your oppressors.

It is amazing how simple Christian life can be if we only follow the basics that we learn during our first steps as new believers. The promise that we have been given is that when we do our part in extending God’s Kingdom, God will provide all our needs, including those desires that are in alignment with His will for us.
